"Courtesy of" links

In addition to this site's Link Directory, you have the option of having your site's link appear alongside any content that you submit and that we have approved.

You may include the statement, "(Content) courtesy of (Link)" with your submission, where "(Content)" should be replaced with the relevant type of content (ex. Article, or Image).  "(Link)" should be replaced with the relevant link.

The link should be formatted using standard bbcode as follows:

... courtesy of [url=http://www.(your-site's-domain).com/](Company Name)[/url].

If this seems confusing-- consider the following example:

The above example produces the following:

Placement of links in submitted content

For images, the "courtesy of" link can appear both in the description as well as the summary.  For all other content submissions, the "courtesy of" link may appear only once, placed on the first line of content.

Including a copyright statement

If you feel the need to include a copyright statement with your content submission, you may include one.  If you are including a copyright statement, be sure to include the words, "Used by Edot with permission".

Alternative wording

If you would like to use alternative wording instead of "courtesy of", we are open to alternative wording and are willing to work with you, within reason.

Before submitting

Be sure that you are submitting quality content, as visitors are likely to equate the quality of the content you submit with the quality of the services your company provides.  Also, keep in mind that we do not necessarily approve all submitted content, and that content approval is done on a per-item basis.
