Insane? Maybe....but as I journey in the outer realms I have discovered that there are many different teachers and many different allies. Datura is such an ally. If she likes you she can be a gentle spirit. If she doesn't like you she will kill you.

We read about the hundreds of people who have tried to take Datura to get high and die because of it. They die because Datura is not a get high plant...what they don't realize is that Datura is an ally, to be used when journeying on the outer planes. Now I don't suggest that people try Datura. It is a hard and unforgiving ally if you are not spiritually in tune. But for those who have come to face the reality of their own universe she can be a powerful ally. It took along time for me to approach her. I have her growing in my yard in many different forms. She is beautiful and dangerous at the same time. She is very intoxicating with the smell of her beautiful flowers. She calls out to you every time you walk by her.

If you ever find that you want to try her I suggest that you grow your own plants and get to know them on a personal basis. Talk with them daily, nurture them, make them know you love them. I will not give information on how to prepare her because of the varying differences of each plant. When experimenting with her use caution.

I have journeyed with her. I've used her alone and I have used her in an ayahuasca mixture. Alone she is very seductive. She takes you places where you think you might have been with other teachers, but when you arrive you find out that you have never been there quite like this time. She teaches you your own personal songs and she entices you to come back again. This is where you have to make the choice.

You see, Datura messes with your brain in a way that causes mind loss, and I don't mean for just a little while. It can cause permanent short term memory loss for months. It has taken me 3 months just to get back to reality. Now this isn't the effects of just one journey, no, I couldn't break away from her charm.

She is so seductive and so beautiful in her way that she is hard to break away from. This is where she gets dangerous. Datura builds up toxins in your body and starts shutting down organs that you require to live on. She blanks out your mind so you can't remember from one minute to the next. She slows down your breathing so much that sometimes you forget to take the next breath.

I know, Datura is suppose to be good for asthma patients, and it is in small dosages and smoked. Smoking the leaves will give you neat little vision blasts of green and purple and orange. The effects don't last very long. The root is the most dangerous of all to journey with. If not prepared right you won't stand a chance of surviving. The seeds taken internally will give you visionary sites but if you decide you are ready for her make sure to take the seeds in small quantities. Don't take to many thinking that more is better because in this case more is lethal.

I suggest that if you are really serious about using Datura that you find a teacher who can guide you through the journey. Journeying on Datura is not for the weak at heart. And when you come back you may find that you have no heart left. It opens up your mind to the frivolous matters in your life and you have a tendency to remove these from your life. You will come back a changed person....if you come back.
