Ah, I am aware of the United State's restrictive policies being forced on other countries...they've been doing it for years now; books like The Emperor Wears No Clothes tell the Hemp story. The Entheogen Dot magazine and message boards, for the most part, stay focused on the cultivation and use of entheogenic plants, and the trading thereof. We don't encourage the indiscriminate use of drugs, nor do we encourage the breaking of the law; rather we encourage each individual to think for themselves, act for themselves, and be responsible for themselves and their own actions. And we encourage the dissemination of knowledge, free from censorship and governmental control. And that's where we stand.

I think that the stance you are taking is unfortunate, as I feel it is the time to “stand and be counted” as Barlow often says, and that is the reason that my essays are online. We need to unequivocally declare that the laws against the personal use of ALL so-called drugs, including heroin etc. are wrong, immoral in and of themselves, and MUST be revoked. We must make it known that we have the God-given right to grow and ingest anything which grows on the face of this planet without fear of oppression and persecution.

Of course I agree about the right to grow and use any plant. As for our stance, we agree with you about the oppressive laws. We just aren't focused on political activism. Now, we'd love to have an article or column about such activism...if you or anyone else would like to write such a column  And we just added a Political Forum for the discussion of such topics.
Did you experiment with plant hallucinogens-the entheogens, before you tried (or made) LSD? Which ones?

Have you ever experimented with Salvia divinorum? Salvinorin A? It's totally legal and is right on par with LSD as far as potency. Salvinorin A, the active ingredient in Salvia, is also measured in micrograms, and is usually taken in one hit from a pipe. A totally amazing experience. I digress...

I know many who have tried this plant with absolutely no effects, and we believe that there are other ingredients in the usual mixtures used in the Curandero's rituals. I have never felt the need to find any, as there are plenty of other things available that do work. Perhaps there is a miniscule amount of DMT present in the pipe you have been using. No one that I have read makes any such claims as you do about this plant.
