thank you for the link.
Ive had a look at this book before but will re read the chapter. I recall though that the concoctions described are intended for drinking. Im planning a transdermal route and was therefore hoping for some info on absorption of muscimol and other constituents via the skin.
It is an interesting book though. Have you tried resurecting fly agaric using the books methods? I remember reading with the authors accounts of different types of mycelium growing out from fly agaric fruiting bodies. Ive seen a fair few comments from mycologists declairing that the resulting mycelium must be an infection, that fruiting bodies do not have the ability to revert to a mycelium form, and even if they did it wouldnt be to a completely different form of mycelium to the species true mycelial form. I even remember an extensive forum thread where someone was recreating the experiments, unsuccessfully if I recall. I dont really see how you can grow a fungal culture in a non sterile environment and then conclude without doubt that all of your resulting material comes form a single fungal source. Ill keep an open mind on the ambrosia society for now, thanks for reminding me of them.
In the mean time I'll keep hunting for ointment info...
happy exploring, GP.
