very effective "legal smoke" -
12th October 2006, 09:49 PM
I don't know if i'm supposed to mention sites or brand names or whatever.. but theres a smoking blend out there being sold in very small portions with a pipe included. The company doesnt allow it to be sold in the USA, yet the ingredients on the back are these:
red clover, rose, marshmallow, siberian motherwort, dama de Noite??, Lion's Ear, Pedicularis, Turkestan Mint, Maconha Brava, Baybean, Blue Lotus, Pink Lotus, Vanilla, and Honey.
I got ahold of this stuff. Amazingly modern packaging. Really slick. Comes with a metal pipe and a tiny bag of smoke. I cant imagine that even that little of an herbal blend would get me high. Well, I just smoked 3 hits of it and i'm stoned.
I notice NO difference from a marijauna high, which is sorta worrying me.. I hoped to maybe get some clues towards further developing my own smoking blend (which will not be released until its perfect!)..
Wow, I have enough left from this one tiny bag to get me high a couple more times.
The majority of what i see in the bag is a sorta fuzzy herb.. sorta looks like marijuana. Then there are darker bits that settled to the bottom and needed to be mixed in. What could I do to figure out what makes this stuff so strong? I actually could pretty easily seperate the darker herb from it.. and smoke that alone.. but I'd need to get a larger amount if i wanted to experiment like that.
What do you all think? Have you tried it? Could it possibly be a very strong purified extract of some of those listed ingredients, constituted on a base of.. whatever.
The guy who sent it to me warned that "it may contain schedule 1 ingredients, since the listed ones are never accurate in new zealand"
Sorry i'm all over the place. If it contains weed, its sativa. Oh yeah.. and I will be very angry over being tricked to break the law in a way that i never would otherwise! Grrrr.... hehe

It's actual ingredients are(if we're talking about the same product, which I really think we are): Baybean, Blue Lotus, Lion's Tail, Lousewort, Indian Warrior, Dwarf Scullcap, Maconha Brava, Pink Lotus, Marshmallow, Red Clover, Rose, Siberian Motherwort, Vanilla and Honey, although this might be a different version
with the exception of Maconha brava(Zornia latifolia), red clover(flavor or something more?) and bay bean i've tried them all.
Maconha brava is mentioned in food of the gods a "an hallucinogenic substitute for cannabis", it speaks of the seeds being used.
That's the nickname for zornia because locals use it as a cannabis substitute.
My current mix which is a very good smoke is pedicularis, passion flower, blue lotus, lobelia, dwarf skullcap(everyones jealous yeah yeah), damiana, lion's tail and ear flowers, calamus, hibiscus, hops, mullein, lemon balm, peppermint, spearmint, and some kanna.
The commercial product you mention is like $15 an eighth, daammmnnn expensive, and is not illegal in the U.S., the company just doesn't want to deal with the DEA(for good reason), as brujo suggested in another thread, because it would have immense popularity.
I'm aware that they make a concentrated blend with the same ingredients, I'd imagine that that has extraction soaked leaves.
I suggest placing a very firm label on your final product, not selling it to minors, and as a tobacco substitute only.... even then though, if you have a good product it's going to end up being illegal

Sign me up, I'm sold. Those are some seriously long ingredient lists. I know I get a little carried away with my tea combinations. But damn, 15+ ingredients crammed into a bowl or cig? They would have to be some highly condensed extracts. I wish I could buy a product like that, I don't smoke often enough to get into mixing my own.
